19 May 2025, Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida Jeeps– 5 Today is our last day in Key West. We leave tomorrow morning. We’ve had so much fun here; maybe we’ll be back someday. I sure hope so.  Barry and I headed downtown for some last-minute shopping. We visited Ron Jon's, CVS, and Local Color (my favorite boutique). We walked from Ron Jon's to Local Color and took a route we had not walked before. There's a wooden walkway we took along the water. It was in the shade most of the way, so I loved it. On the way, we passed Jimmy Buffett's Recording Studio, which we saw from the Trolley tour the other day. It's a white square building with stickers all over it.  When we finished our shopping, we went back to our RV. We ate leftovers for lunch, and Barry got the RV ready for tomorrow while I cleaned the inside and did laundry. I checked with J&K to see if they wanted to watch our last sunset in Key West, and they are in. Sunset was at 8:05 PM. I had pl...

15 May 2025, Catamaran Echo Snorke Day, Key West, Florida Jeeps- 6 Today is Catamaran Echo Snorkel Day. Our snorkel cruise was scheduled for 1:30 PM today.  The Navy jets woke me up. We are close to a Key West Navy Station and see jets flying in and out during the day. Barry says some are F15s. They are loud, so we know when to look for them. It's cool seeing them circle above us. I think they were practicing takeoffs and landings today. They must have made a dozen circles above us. A few locals have informed us that residents often become tired of it, and some have even relocated due to it. Key West has the Navy base and the International Airport flying over it. We dropped off our belongings at the Echo early and headed to the Boathouse Bar & Grill for some small plates and margaritas. Once done, we took the short walk to our catamaran and boarded. We waited for a couple who went to the wrong boat on Stock Island. Once they arrived, we took off. Our captain is Joel, and t...

06 May 2025, Keys Palm Luxury RV Resort, Key Largo, Florida to Boyd’s Key West Campground, Key West, Florida I was sad to leave Key Largo this morning, but I am excited for Key West. The drive was nice except for a bit of road construction. Key West is the southernmost destination we are visiting on this trip.  The water is a beautiful teal blue, and it is visible on both sides of Highway 1 for most of its length. The highway is at a twenty-foot elevation.  There were so many restaurants, resorts, yachts, and boat dealers, as well as a dolphin research center, a bird sanctuary, museums, and people fishing off the bridges. What I loved most were the pink flamingo and manatee mailboxes along the residential areas of the highway.  I have noticed no flowers,  even in front of buildings or restaurants.  One of the fish we want to try is conch. Well, I guess it’s not a fish but a snail.  We made it to Boyd’s RV Campground . We are close to the water, but not dire...
