13 May 2025, The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory, Key West, Florida Today, we visited the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory . We parked right across the street. I took a few photos of houses before we went to the Conservatory.  Once inside, you go into a room that gives you some history about butterflies, which is cool. Entering the room with all the butterflies, you have to go through double doors so the butterflies don’t escape. What a beautiful treat. There are flowers blooming and butterflies everywhere. Some of them blend in with the foliage, and you don’t see them until they move. It’s like a giant greenhouse. There are colorful birds, too. Two flamingos also live in the greenhouse, Rhett and Scarlett. They are very vocal. They are comical to watch. The pond has beautiful blue fish. I don’t remember the name. At the end, before you go out, there are windows with live chrysalis. Some butterflies have just hatched and are drying their wings. I loved this a...
