05-11-2026 Ontario, Oregon to Twin Falls/Jerome, Idaho KOA

We left River Point RV Park at 10:30, stopped for gas, and then were on our way. We drove into Idaho about five minutes later. We’ve been through Southern Idaho before, and there’s not much to see when driving. The KOA we will be staying at is the same one we stayed at last year on our way back from Florida. Highway 93 is what we traveled today. The crazy thing is seeing all the triple trailers being hauled across Idaho.  We arrived at Twin Falls/Jerome KOA around 4:00 PM, but there was also a time change. We are in Mountain Time now. We parked, set up, and then immediately went to get ice cream. The park also makes fresh waffle cones. I love ice cream in a waffle cone. I got Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate Chip. Barry had Cherry Chocolate Chip and Parents’ Bourbon Coffee. Last year, when we were here, the new owners said they were changing ice cream vendors due to distribution issues. 05-08 to 05-10-2026 On the Road Again, Five National Parks-Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Theodore Roosevelt, and Glacier

This trip is mainly to visit Yellowstone National Park. It’s been on my bucket list. We will be visiting five National Parks: Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Little Bighorn Battlefield, Theodore Roosevelt, Glacier, and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The states we will travel through are Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, and Washington. Our planned route is below. We left on Friday at 11:30 AM, an hour and a half after our plan. We made it to Ryan and Amanda’s by 3:45 PM. Just in enough time to park the RV, grab our jackets, and jump in Ryan’s truck to head to La Pine for Tucker’s Little League game. We knew it was going to be tight time-wise, but we made it. The game started with Tucker’s team scoring five runs in the first few innings. The game was tied in the fifth inning. In the next-to-last inning, the other team pulled ahead by one. His team had one last chance at bat to score the tying run, but it did not happen. Tucker had one hit, one strikeout, and an inf...
