02 May 2025, Fort Wilderness Disney World to Yacht Haven RV Resort and Marina, Fort Lauderdale It was sad leaving the Happiest Place on Earth, but we were ready for our next adventure—three and a half hour drive to Yacht Haven RV Resort in Fort Lauderdale. We had sites right next to huge yachts. Some of them were unbelievable. Check their website out here . We decided on a restaurant that was within walking distance, Rendezvous Restaurant . We had no desire to drive to dinner, and no one wanted to cook. The restaurant Jan found was next door, but we had to walk to the street and then around. There was a high brick wall between the properties. BUT...Barry found an opening in the wall, so we took it. We meandered our way to the restaurant and enjoyed the yacht scenery. We felt like we were really on a rendezvous. We were seated, and Jan had a palm tree behind her chair. The next thing you know, an iguana is climbing up the tree. It was pretty funny.
