20 May 2025, Southern Comfort RV Park, Florida City, Florida Today is the day we left Key West. Jan and I are both sad but ready for our next adventures. Florida City, Florida, is our next location. It’s about a three-hour drive, but it ended up longer. There was an accident at the top of the bridge to Long Point Key. We could see the red lights of the emergency vehicles and a few passed us. We sat for about an hour. People were getting out of their cars, walking their dogs, and gazing out at the ocean from the side of the road. Once on the way, we came across a few construction sites, and the roads were very narrow. At one point, I thought one of the tractors would hit our RV. YIKES!!! It was scary. We arrived at our RV park and settled in. I saw a peacock when we were driving to our site. Later in the evening, a dozen peacocks and three babies showed up by our RVs.
