05-11-2026 Ontario, Oregon to Twin Falls/Jerome, Idaho KOA
We left River Point RV Park at 10:30, stopped for gas, and then were on our way. We drove into Idaho about five minutes later. We’ve been through Southern Idaho before, and there’s not much to see when driving. The KOA we will be staying at is the same one we stayed at last year on our way back from Florida. Highway 93 is what we traveled today. The crazy thing is seeing all the triple trailers being hauled across Idaho.
We arrived at Twin Falls/Jerome KOA around 4:00 PM, but there was also a time change. We are in Mountain Time now. We parked, set up, and then immediately went to get ice cream. The park also makes fresh waffle cones. I love ice cream in a waffle cone. I got Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate Chip. Barry had Cherry Chocolate Chip and Parents’ Bourbon Coffee. Last year, when we were here, the new owners said they were changing ice cream vendors due to distribution issues. Barry liked the other vendor better. He remembers it being really creamy. I thought mine was delicious. We sat out front on the rockers and enjoyed our ice cream in the beautiful weather. It was in the low 90s.
Our campsite was in the shade of trees and lots of sparrows. I loved hearing them chatter. We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the weather and hanging out.
