06-02-2026 Tuesday, Glasgow, Montana to Shelby, Montana

Woke up to rain and horrible wind. The wind was horrible. We sank about three inches overnight. It was muddy all around Julie, and Barry was not happy having to do all the hoses in the rain. I don’t blame him. We were on the road by 10:00 AM, and Barry was happy to be leaving Shady Rest. It was going to be a four-hour trek today—one of the longest travel days on the trip. 

On our drive west on Highway 2, we passed beautiful fields of mustard plants that were in bloom. The yellow went on endlessly. Per Google, Montana leads the nation in mustard seed sales. I would have never guessed. The drive is through expansive fields of crops, and you can see as far as the horizon. All flat to rolling hills. I never thought of Montana as an agricultural state. Now and then, we would see herds of antelope scattered in the fields. 

Before we came to a town called Havre, we saw these metal figures on the hillside along the road. As we got closer, we realized they were metal dinosaurs, mountain sheep, bear, and an eagle. The eagle photo below has a glare from my window. 

Along the Highway, we saw numerous pullouts, and per signs, they were “Cell Phone Pullouts.” Interesting idea. But the funny thing is, we didn’t see anyone using them; however, a lot of the time we were the only ones on the highway. 

The wind was freezing when we made it to Shelby RV Resort. The RV park is next to a Comfort Inn & Casino, where we checked in. We had access to the indoor pool and breakfast for $6.00 a person. I guess that's why they said the park was a “resort.” Yeah, right.

It rained off, and on, so Barry was a little annoyed hooking up the power, water, and sewer. I don’t blame him. We settled in for the night. I attended a webinar, and Barry caught up on logging receipts and paying bills.

04-28-2025, Florida Key West Trip 3/27 – 6/30 2025, 96 Days, 7986 Miles, 44 Stops

28 April 2025, Disney World Epcot  We were able to enter Epcot early since we stayed at a Disney Hotel. We immediately weaved through the crowd to Guardians of the Galaxy. What a great ride. It’s a dark ride, and the cars spin, but is it ever fun!  Best ride in Epcot. The other rides we rode are: Mission Space Soar’in Over the World Gran Fiesta Tour – The Three Caballeros Darn! We didn’t ride the Monorail We hooked up with J&K at The Three Caballeros and ate lunch at the restaurant right by the ride, San Angel Inn Restaurante. From here, we continued to walk around the World Pond, visiting most of the nations represented: Canada for Barry, the United Kingdom, Japan, American Adventure, Germany, China, and Mexico. I bought ornaments, a Japanese fan, and a Chinese parasol. In American Adventure, Ken wanted to see the movie, so we entered the American Adventure building. 03 June 2025, North Little Rock KOA, Arkansas, to Riverfront RV Resort, Fort Smith, Arkansas Uncle Richard called me this morning. We have been playing phone tag for the last few days. I needed the phone number of his cousin Mary Ann. Mary Ann is Herman's daughter, my grandmother's brother. I'd like to call her when we're in Fort Smith.  Damn this cold. Last night I coughed all night long, so I slept in a recliner in the living room. I rubbed some dōTERRA oils on my chest, covered my head with my blanket, and breathed in the fumes. Seemed to help. I also took Mucinex to help with the congestion. Around 4:00 AM, I was able to sleep better. NOT FUN!!! I'm wondering if it's COVID since Barry lost his sense of taste. We forgot to bring COVID-19 tests with us.  We arrived at Riverfront RV Park around 2:00 PM. What a great park. They have only been open for two years. It's right on the Arkansas River.
