05-19-2026 Yellowstone, Day in Camp

We stayed in camp today. It was a utility day: laundry, change sheets, and plan the next 3 days. Barry fixed the water hose and the broken chain on the medicine cabinet in the half bath, washed the Jeep windows, and stocked our drink cooler in the basement. I did laundry most of the day. 

I caught up on my blog for this trip. I’m also trying to catch up on my blog posts from our trip to Key West last year. I think I still have about sixteen days to write. We also went to Hawaii last November, and I didn’t even write anything about that...

One of our friends, Ken Reynolds, told us we had to try the grilled cheese sandwich at the Fishing Bridge General Store, so that’s what we did for dinner. It was yummy. Barry also had tomato soup. We highly recommend both.

Great day to get caught up. Tomorrow will be a long day.

28 April 2025, Disney World Epcot  We were able to enter Epcot early since we stayed at a Disney Hotel. We immediately weaved through the crowd to Guardians of the Galaxy. What a great ride. It’s a dark ride, and the cars spin, but is it ever fun!  Best ride in Epcot. The other rides we rode are: Mission Space Soar’in Over the World Gran Fiesta Tour – The Three Caballeros Darn! We didn’t ride the Monorail We hooked up with J&K at The Three Caballeros and ate lunch at the restaurant right by the ride, San Angel Inn Restaurante. From here, we continued to walk around the World Pond, visiting most of the nations represented: Canada for Barry, the United Kingdom, Japan, American Adventure, Germany, China, and Mexico. Genealogy Fireworks in Stonewall: Whispers, Surprises, and a Happy Dance Most genealogy days feel routine, like flipping through old pages. But every now and then, you hit the jackpot — fireworks go off, your heart races, and the ancestors practically shout, “Pay attention!” That’s exactly what happened to me in Stonewall. From the moment we pulled out of the Arbuckle RV Resort — just a 30-minute drive away — I had no clue the day would end with me doing a full-on genealogy happy dance. Everything felt wet and balmy due to last night’s crazy thunderstorm. 06-03-2025, Florida Key West Trip 3/27 – 6/30 2025, 96 Days, 7986 Miles, 44 Stops

03 June 2025, North Little Rock KOA, Arkansas, to Riverfront RV Resort, Fort Smith, Arkansas Uncle Richard called me this morning. We have been playing phone tag for the last few days. I needed the phone number of his cousin Mary Ann. Mary Ann is Herman's daughter, my grandmother's brother. I'd like to call her when we're in Fort Smith.  Damn this cold. Last night I coughed all night long, so I slept in a recliner in the living room. I rubbed some dōTERRA oils on my chest, covered my head with my blanket, and breathed in the fumes. Seemed to help. I also took Mucinex to help with the congestion. Around 4:00 AM, I was able to sleep better. NOT FUN!!! I'm wondering if it's COVID since Barry lost his sense of taste. We forgot to bring COVID-19 tests with us.  We arrived at Riverfront RV Park around 2:00 PM. What a great park. They have only been open for two years. It's right on the Arkansas River.
