04-29-2025, Florida Key West Trip 3/27 – 6/30 2025, 96 Days, 7986 Miles, 44 Stops
29 May 2025, Disney World Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios
We were up early to catch the ferry to Magic Kingdom and take advantage of the early half-hour opening. I’m going to list the rides we rode and only highlight a few. It was so much fun. If you have never been to a Disney Park, I hope you get to experience it someday. It’s genuinely a fun place to visit.
Magic Kingdom rides/attractions we rode:
1. We did not go to Fantasyland. I did want to ride Peter Pan’s flight, but the line was always a considerable wait, plus we weren't into stroller wars.
2. Jungle Cruise
3. Tiki Room
4. Pirates of the Caribbean
5. Haunted Mansion
6. TRON
7. Space Mountain
8. Watched a parade in Frontierland
9. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Hollywood Studios rides/attractions we rode:
1. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
2. Star Tours
3. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
4. Fantasmic
5. We stayed out of Toy Story Land
We shopped, collected pins, ate, drank, rained once, and enjoyed people-watching at times.
The BEST part of the whole day was the experience we had at TRON. As we walked up to the ride, Shelley, a cast member, pulled the four of us to the side and asked if we had seen the original TRON movie. Of course, we all said yes. She then shared some behind-the-scenes movie history with us. We followed her down a hallway that had original photos from the first movie. She discussed the track being built and the speeds at which the motorcycles run—then we ended up at a platform that had a test bike. She had us sit in it so we could see how the motorcycle held us in place, which gave us a weird feeling. During all this, we’re moving ahead of the crowds. From there, we went back downstairs and placed our things in a locker. Then Shelley led us to the very front of the line, and we were the first four to get on the ride in the first car of the day. WOW, is that cool!! J&K got to be in the front. Talk about crazy and fun. The ride was so cool.
We ate dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre, which included the Fantasmic show later in the evening. Fantasmic was in a water theatre. It was a great show, and the park closed after the show was over.
