JAUNTS
No jaunts this week. 

CLASSES
Tuesday started my AppGen class titled, "Lost & Overwhelmed AncestryDNA - Sorting, Organizing and Using Results to Grow Your Family Tree" taught by Mary Kircher Roddy, CG®
This class is one that I have been excited about. I gave this idea to Lisa and she presented it to her group. Mary said she could teach it. The first session was interesting and I was able to complete the homework on time. Now waiting for Mary's comments. 

VOLUNTEER WORK
This was the week I volunteered at the FHL on Wednesday evening. I learned how to use the new Epson flatbed scanner. I was able to scan some of my larger photos. I still need to label and file them. 

WEBINARS
"Verifying Descent from Salem's Accused Witches" presented by David Allen Lambert and American Ancestor's by New England Historic Genealogical Society
Barry attended this also. His family claims that one of their ancestors is Mary Estes. She was hung as a witch during the Salem Witch Trials. 

I hosted CGS' presentation on Saturday, "Ancestral Time Travels: Timelines" presented by Jennifer Holick. I have known Jennifer for about 5 years. I hired her to help obtain documents of my Grandpa Griffin's time in WWII. I also was in a few of her writing groups. I loved the presentation.

OTHER STUFF
Picked up the framing I had done at Michaels®. It was a week overdue and I still had to wait a few more days. Michaels® is aware I was not a happy customer. A photo of the framing is below. It's the tallest one. I purchased the canvas from Amazon.com and I absolutely love it. I'm over the moon about how our mantle looks this year for Halloween.


This was also Bingo week. I have not been in a few months due to our traveling. It was fun to see everyone again. I came home with one prize so Barry is happy. He would be happier if I came home with nothing....LOL!

I worked all week on decorating the inside of the house and Barry worked on the front yard. First Halloween since the pandemic shutdown. We are expecting 500-600 kids this year. Unfortunately, I paid for it all week. Major hip and back pain all week.

Pacific Coast Village Site #382 JEEPS - 5 (Tuesday), 22 (Thursday) We left home on Monday, June 26th , for Pismo Beach. We are staying at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort for the first time. They have 400 sites. We made the reservations six months ago. We normally stay at Oceano State Beach RV Park, but we wanted to try this place. We are here with Jan & Ken Reynolds. This place does not let you choose a site; they will only tell you your site number the morning you check-in. This is also a place you can join for $50,000, and you get the first pick of sites...ridiculous. You can store your RV at the resort storage across the street. If you are a member, they will bring your RV to your site for you, one perk for the fifty grand. We checked in around 4:30 PM on Monday. The Reynolds are two sites from us and checked in about thirty minutes before us. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. We hooked up and headed to Old Juan's Cantina in Oceanside. Week 52 – Theme "Future" – 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks This is my first year working on this year-long weekly writing prompts provided by Amy Johnson Crow and posted on her Generations Cafe Facebook page. I will do my best to write something each week.  THREET FAMILY PHOTO FUTURE PROJECT Back Row-Billie Mack, Donal Dean, Samuel, Wilma Sue, Willie, Floyd Junior, James Elice Front Row-Ernie, Sylvia, Bruce Travis, Clara Marie, Sandra Kay, Roger Dale The above photo is of my father’s family. My father was born Billie Mack Threet, AKA Billy Max Threet, and has ten siblings. I do not know when he changed the spelling of his first and middle names. This is a something I would like to narrow down in the future.  Another 2022 future goal I have is to write a small piece about each of his siblings and parents. I don’t know much about the early years of dad’s family or vital records dates, but my future goal of 2022 is to try to write down what I do know and possibly learn something new. H

2023-03-25 Saturday Pismo Beach Oceano Campground

My Man! Steps today - 14,442 Saturday, and so much for sleeping in. The Reynolds daughter Brook, son-in-law Aaron, granddaughter Kensley, and grandson Arik arrived this morning. Soon we heard Kensley and Arik at our door to say hello. They seemed excited to see us, and they gave big hugs to both of us. Then, they told us about school, and everything they have been doing, as much as an 8 and 10-year-old can say to you. Then back over to abuela and papa's RV.  Soon after, we were off to Pismo Beach. We drove to the left, went as far as we could, then turned around and headed toward the far-end gate. The part of the beach you can drive on was so short compared to before, but it was due to the recent storms. The Reynolds were ahead of us, and as we passed the first gate, a guy flagged us down. His truck was stuck, and he needed a tow to get out of the hole he was in. Barry said sure, and I texted the others to let them know what was happening. They pulled off of the beach highway and w
