06-12-2026 Friday, Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho
Since Ross and Malory had their emergency trailer issue, we have a free day to wake up late, and it was nice. We spent the day in Coeur d’ Alene. The weather was beautiful with just a slight breeze. We walked the boardwalk around The Coeur d’Alene Golf and Spa Resort that is down by the lake. The first thing we did was stop at a little kiosk bar and get a drink. I had a Huckelberry margarita that was so yummy and refreshing. We stood there and talked to the bartender for about twenty minutes, trading travel stories.
We decided to wander through the resort after we finished walking around the boardwalk. I went into a gift shop and found a moose stuffy for Emery. There is a book that goes with him, but she already has that. Hopefully she doesn’t have the moose.
I decided to let Barry take some photos of me. I need to change a few of my photos on social media sites. I usually don't like my photos, but I thought he did a great job with his phone. Now I just need to remember to change my photos....LOL!
From the Resort, we walked downtown and ended up at Crafted Tap House + Kitchen. They have forty-two beers on tap, so Barry was happy. I had a Son of the Llama, and it was so tasty. A photo of the drink ingredients is below. We just have to figure out the measurements. We ordered munchies and enjoyed the Coeur d’Alene vibe. There were four firemen sitting close to us, and we bought them a round of drinks. Great guys.
On the way back, we stopped at a sporting goods store Ken recommended, Black Sheep Sporting Goods, located in the Silver Lake Mall. BSSG has a separate knife store in the mall, Knives + Optics. How awesome is that? A store just with knives! We looked at quite a few, and Barry decided on a Buck, and I chose a Kershaw OTF (out the front). You can’t buy this Kershaw in California; not sure about Oregon. We are very happy campers.
