Barry and I each had a zoom call today at 10:00 AM. His was his weekly Saturday call with his Canadian cousins and my monthly CGS board meeting. Mine went until almost 11:30, a little longer than expected. After our calls, Barry packed up his BBQ and pizza oven into the jeep. I got together all the fixings and we headed to Ryan and Amanda’s in Lincoln City. Unloaded everything and Ryan and Addison helped us carry everything upstairs. We loaded the kids in the jeep and met Ryan and Amanda at McMenamins for lunch. Chowder, Scooby Dogs (mini corn dogs), salads and brews. Headed back to the condo after lunch. 

I had photos to take of just me. I wanted some professional looking ones to submit for my CGS Board member headshot on the website. Had to change into different clothes for that. We did inside shots because it was pouring and windy outside. Once again everyone had opinions of where to take the photos. I can’t wait to see how they turned out.

Tucker wanted to go swimming in the pool so bad he begged his mom and sister. Amanda broke down and said yes after about fifteen minutes of negotiations and then Addison decided to swim too. It was so funny to see how it evolved. So off to the pool we went. Amanda, Addison, and Tucker went in but the rest of us stayed out. The pool was slightly warm. Barry coached Addison on a few things and Amanda played with Tucker. We stayed at the pool until Tucker’s lips turned purple. That kid would live in the water if he could. 



Back upstairs to the condo and the three swimmers took showers and dried their hair. We had the pizza doughs sitting on the counter to proof and they looked good. Once everyone was ready to eat again, we started the process. Barry heated up the pizza oven on the balcony. He wasn’t sure how it was going to heat up with all the wind and rain. It was hard to keep the temperature up. I lined all the fixings up on the island. I promised each of the kids they could roll out their own dough and top their own pizzas. It was so much fun! We made a total of 6 pizzas. Barry did a great job of cooking them for the first time in his new oven. Clean up by everyone then it was GAME TIME!!!

We started out with Left, Right, Center. New game for Barry and me but everyone made sure we knew all the rules. Turned out to be a fun game. I have no idea how many times we played it. Then we moved onto Yahtzee. I have not played this game for years and Barry has never played it. If anyone knows my husband, he is not a game player, but Tucker and Addison convinced him to play. He got the hang of it, and we played another game. Fun was had by everyone. It was close to 10:30 pm and Tucker was getting tired and so were we. We had a busy day planned for tomorrow and we all needed our beauty sleep. Once again, such a fun day.

Pacific Coast Village Site #382 JEEPS - 5 (Tuesday), 22 (Thursday) We left home on Monday, June 26th , for Pismo Beach. We are staying at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort for the first time. They have 400 sites. We made the reservations six months ago. We normally stay at Oceano State Beach RV Park, but we wanted to try this place. We are here with Jan & Ken Reynolds. This place does not let you choose a site; they will only tell you your site number the morning you check-in. This is also a place you can join for $50,000, and you get the first pick of sites...ridiculous. You can store your RV at the resort storage across the street. If you are a member, they will bring your RV to your site for you, one perk for the fifty grand. We checked in around 4:30 PM on Monday. The Reynolds are two sites from us and checked in about thirty minutes before us. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. We hooked up and headed to Old Juan's Cantina in Oceanside. 2023-03-25 Saturday Pismo Beach Oceano Campground

My Man! Steps today - 14,442 Saturday, and so much for sleeping in. The Reynolds daughter Brook, son-in-law Aaron, granddaughter Kensley, and grandson Arik arrived this morning. Soon we heard Kensley and Arik at our door to say hello. They seemed excited to see us, and they gave big hugs to both of us. Then, they told us about school, and everything they have been doing, as much as an 8 and 10-year-old can say to you. Then back over to abuela and papa's RV.  Soon after, we were off to Pismo Beach. We drove to the left, went as far as we could, then turned around and headed toward the far-end gate. The part of the beach you can drive on was so short compared to before, but it was due to the recent storms. The Reynolds were ahead of us, and as we passed the first gate, a guy flagged us down. My father was born Billie Mack Threet, AKA Billy Max Threet, and has ten siblings. I do not know when he changed the spelling of his first and middle names. This is a something I would like to narrow down in the future.  Another 2022 future goal I have is to write a small piece about each of his siblings and parents. I don’t know much about the early years of dad’s family or vital records dates, but my future goal of 2022 is to try to write down what I do know and possibly learn something new. H
